The Golden Globes added two new categories to its 2024 awards ceremony: Best Blockbuster and Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy. Movies are eligible to win in the blockbuster category if they grossed at least $150 million during release, $100 million of which should have come from the domestic box office. Films that premiered on Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services will also be considered, but data gathered from "recognized industry sources" will be used to determine their eligibility.

Universal and Lionsgate are partnering up to bring Michael Jackson’s biopic, “Michael” to the masses. The biopic will be directed by Antoine Fuqua and production of the film is planned to continue after the SAG-AFTRA strike ends.

Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour has ended, but it’s coming to theaters in North America on December 1st. Tickets start at $22 and the film will run for a minimum of four weeks.

Last month, Paramount Pictures launched its official “Mean Girls” TikTok account to promote the Jan. 12 release of “Mean Girls: The Musical” in theaters next year. Now, you can watch “Mean Girls” on TikTok. The film was uploaded to the app in 23 parts, including the film's end credits.
